Wednesday Wonder No 6....

William Cobbett's A French Grammar, published in 1829.

Artist Kyra Clegg took this sad, battered old book and turned it from this...

 into this...

The transformed book is an imagined travelogue inspired by William Cobbett's journey through bloody, Revolutionary France. It contains letters, postcards, drawings, photographs, historical information and other delights. You can see it for yourself this year when The Library of Lost Books exhibition opens from the 5th to the 23rd of November at The Library of Birmingham, England.
