Birmingham Library Opens!

What can we say? A wonderful building and something special for Birmingham. It's kind of like Christmas.

Tell us what you think of this building and we'll send one of you to a beautiful Sheaffer Intensity pen.

I love the exterior of the building so lovely and unusual in a world of identikit modern architecture, and the interior seems to be a good mix of modern and old, embracing the 21st century but keeping some of the charm of a good old fashioned library. Gutted I don't live in Birmingham to visit in person.

Amazing architecture! Lookkng very forward to visitong the place and to see the anazing work to be exhibited in due time!
I do like your photo where the building seems to float. Can see the theme of circles, and my first thought on seeing the inside with the light circles on the ceiling is: oh halos, we can all be angels in the library. Especially looking forward to the library of lost books exhibition and observe people exploring and possibly interacting.
Heard today Stephen Fry was curating musical art, so you are in good company.

I'm really excited about the Library of Lost Books exhibition, from what I've heard about it, it sounds great! I hope I can make it down to see it when it happens, and I hope it gets the support from the venue that it deserves!
