Wednesday Wonder No 12

What would you do with this old, discarded book? Artist Tracey Leech -Williams turned it into an object of wonder.....

 Every page has been hand pierced and covered in delicate, light-filled 'drawings'.....

Like cells, or amoeba, the hand-pierced clusters creep across every page in the book. They start small, almost unnoticeable and then gradually grow and spread. 

Imagine the hours of work it must have taken for Tracey to make this beautiful, delicate work.

You can see this book for yourself during our exhibition at The Library of Birmingham,
