Ruth Shaw-William's Book
Yes, that is a theatre.
A beautiful, miniature theatre with moveable flats and a curtain you can raise and a delightful cast of actors you can move about on the stage!
The theatre was inspired by Ruth's Library of Lost Books book, a German translation of Emile Zola's Nana, published in Budapest by Gustav Grimm in 1910.
It is the most exquisite and wonderful artwork, the theatre in its own fold down box, a second box contains all the characters and props and the whole comes complete with a new artist's book made by Ruth as well as the original, 'lost' book we sent her. More details of this wonderful artwork will be posted on the members' website soon.
